Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect: your name, date of birth, gender, and contact details; your address; account credentials; pilot licence, ratings, and endorsements you choose to provide; aircraft and listing details; emergency contact details; booking, message, and review information; payment and payout details (handled by our payment provider); and technical/usage data such as device, log, and analytics information.

We collect information directly from you (for example when you create an account, complete onboarding, list an aircraft, or make a booking), automatically as you use the Platform, and sometimes from third parties such as our payment, identity, or analytics providers.

We use your information to: provide and operate the Platform; create and manage your account; facilitate bookings, payments, and payouts; enable communication and reviews between users; support safety and trust; respond to enquiries and provide support; improve and secure the Platform; send service and (where permitted) marketing communications; and comply with our legal obligations.

We may disclose your information: to other users as needed to facilitate a booking (for example, your name and relevant profile details to parties on the same booking); to service providers who help us run the Platform (including hosting, database, storage, email, and payment providers); to professional advisers; and to regulators or others where required or authorised by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Some of our service providers (for example hosting, storage, email, and payment processing) may store or process information outside Australia, including in countries such as the United States and within the European Union. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. If you deactivate or delete your account, we may retain certain information (for example booking and review history) where we have a lawful reason to do so.

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You can update much of your information directly in the app. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity.

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
11. Direct marketing
Where permitted, we may send you marketing communications about SkyCatcher. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We will still send you essential service communications.
