Pilots remain responsible for ensuring every flight complies with applicable CASA requirements.
A Safety Pilot is another pilot who joins a flight as a second set of eyes to support situational awareness. They assist by monitoring airspace, traffic, navigation, and aircraft instruments where appropriate, and provide informal cross-checking during the flight. They are not acting as an instructor or conducting training unless separately qualified to do so, and they do not assume responsibility for the conduct of the flight.
No. SkyCatcher is for private flying, not commercial operations. Where costs are shared, contributions are limited to eligible costs — not profit — and it's the pilots' responsibility to fly within CASA's rules.
No. SkyCatcher does not conduct or organise commercial air transport. It's a network that connects pilots with aircraft for hire, Flight Instructors and Safety Pilots — any private flying arrangements are made between the pilots involved.
